Nutramigen® has been in particular designed to ease a baby’s allergy towards a cow’s milk-based formula, so your baby may grow strong on the outside–and feel good on the inside. Ask your baby’s doctor if this formula is right for your baby.

The Story Behind the Allergy
What causes a milk protein allergy or sensitivity? A baby’s intestine is naturally immature at birth. As your baby feeds, whole proteins are digested and absorbed into the intestine. But occasionally, larger proteins may slip through the immature intestinal barrier.

In infants with a cow’s milk protein allergy, these proteins are misrecognized as a alien body, or antigen, which leads to an immune response, ultimately causing the intestine to become inflamed. Prolonged inflammation allows for an increased transfer of antigens, causing more inflammation and uneasiness for a baby.

5INSURANCE WILL PAY for hypoallergenic formula!!
By LtTawnyMadison
Hypoallergenic formula was necessary for our daughter’s acid reflux.

We found out from a friend that most insurance companies will completely cover the cost of hypoallergenic formula, either by reimbursing you what you’ve spent on it, or if you get it as a prescription through your pediatrician. Ours did!

Many doctors don’t know this, so they don’t know to give a prescription for the formula. Call your insurance company today!

5Worked wonders for silent acid reflux baby
By Mike Lanza
Our son developed acid reflux when he was 2 months old. We put him on Zantac. No improvement. Mylicon drops. No improvement. Tried other formulas – we’ve now gone through Good Start, Enfamil AR, Similac RS, Allimentum and finally now Nutramigen which was given to me by a mother of 4 who heard about my son’s acid reflux problem and immediately sent over her last two cans to me. At first he didn’t like the taste, so we mixed 1/2 Similac RS with Nutramigen. He started eating and no screaming or arching his back. He reverted back to the happy, eating baby he used to be. It’s been almost 4 days now and hopefully this will last. He went from eating 22 ozs a day to 34oz a day!

5Great Formula
By R. Good
My baby had problems with other formulas until we started with this one. He has done very well with this. I think it’s important to know that babies with allergies can do well on this formula. Make sure you consult your doctor before you switch. Yes this is expensive, but I’ve found that it’s well worth the price in the comfort of my baby.
