Hunting Down Lift Tickets at Grocery Stores

Back in the 1990′s and early 2000′s there was a huge motion in the ski industry to collaborator with grocery stores and local ski rental locatings to trade discounted lift tickets. Nowadays, passes are still sold at grocery stores, but regrettably the rates are no longer discounted. Even in off peak times, prices at King Soopers, Safeway, Costco, and Albertsons’ grocery stores are the same rates as the ski resorts themselves.

It is mutual noesis within the ski industry that purchasing your tickets in front of time may significantly save you time. With the advent of online brokers, deals and discounted ski passes are effortlessly found online. Just a simple search for discounted rates at your bestloved ski resort will lead you to a great deal of choices that you may not recognise are available to you. Before you spend your precious time in the car searching for deals at grocery stores such as Safeway, King Soopers or Costco, check online first.

1. King Soopers Discount Ski Lift Tickets

King Soopers is the most well known grocery store for syndication passes. This is particularly true for Colorado skiers or those visiting on vacation. In years past, King Soopers had good rates at all major stores all around Colorado. This has changed in recent years specially for peak season time periods. Discounts at King Soopers don’t subsist anymore for the duration of the high season (Thanksgiving, Christmas, President’s Weekend and most of March). In the low season, the ticket rates at most grocery stores are the same rate you would find at the ticket window.

2. Safeway Discount Ski Passes

Specials on Safeway lift passes are very similar to King Soopers and the price you pay depends on the time of year you are planning on skiing. It is advisable to book your lift tickets online in advance, rather of waiting to the last minute.

3. Costco Discount Skiing

Costco reportedly has deals for skiers in California and Utah, but discounts do not subsist in Colorado. The price for respective ski resorts in the Utah and California region vary widely depending on when you are looking to head to the mountain. Check your local Costco outlet for options. Or if you’d prefer to save gas, cash and time just search online for better deals. Most online travel portals that trade discounted ski tickets will email you the confirmation. After that, all you have to do is print out your confirmation and fetch it to the ticket office to redeem your ski passes.

4) REI Stores

Some REI stores trade lift tickets through their connection with Ticket West. Prices vary depending on the season.

5Recent production batteries…not factory surplus apparently
By Chris L. Holmes
I’m pretty used to buying batteries online and finding they had been made long before I ordered them (had some CR123 with experations the next month from another vendor). In at least my case, my batteries from this vendor show a production date of 3/30/10…and I ordered them on April 18th. You can’t get any younger batteries (exp is Mar2016). I’ll be checking this distrbutor out for the rest of my battery needs.

5Batteries, batteries, batteries!
By Sara Schmitt
I got these about three weeks ago, and still haven’t used them up yet. So many batteries. Awesome. So far, they’ve lasted about four times as long in my Canon digital point-and-shoot than my Energizer rechargeables. And they’re on track to outperform the regular Energizers in my Xbox controllers. I think I’m a coppertop convert. The price is pretty good, too–probably not the absolute cheapest, but these are real Duracells (not knockoffs) that are far from their expiration date.

5Duracell batteries at an Amazon price
By TheCommish16
If you check out local stores, you will find these are at least a bit below retail sales price for these batteries. Batteries will always be around the same price, but a few dollars off is worth getting them through Amazon!
